15 year old starting to play guitar?
I’m 15 years old and I want to learn how to play the guitar, and I’m planning on taking lessons. Is it too late to start learning? What are the basics of learning guitar? What kind of guitar do I buy when starting? I’ve played piano for the last 5 years but I quit because I’ve lost interest and I didn’t practice. However, I been listening to alot of guitar pieces and I’m really interested. Is guitar, like piano for me, one of those instruments that gets boring after a while?
no most of blink-182 didn’t start until around this age
Which channel has the best guitar lessons for beginners on youtube?

Good luck with playing guitar!
Guitar lessons in Baltimore MD?
I live in Essex, MD and I want to learn to play the guitar. I like Power Metal, Blues and Rock music. Can anyone point me in the right direction on guitar lessons in MD?
Best bet is to check out flyers at your local guitar shop, also craigslist is a pretty good place to find some teachers. Directories like http://www.findguitarteachers.com usually have up-to-date info as well.
where to learn on the Internet how to play guitar when I never touched a string?
well it was the same problem for me…
i always wanted to play guitar, but i couldn’t afford 900USD for a good guitar(i used to think only expensive guitars are good, but now i know it’s wrong) then i started to practice on a tennis racket (i used to play tennis when i was kid) it was like this for a month and i was always hearing songs and acting on the racket as if i am playing! then i saw a guitar Yamaha C40 only 60USD (second hand) and i got it and i started to learn by myself, after few months i saw a teacher and when i played for him he said i play good but with a lot of problems and mistakes (becoz of learning by myself) it was 6 years ago and now i have a very good guitar Antonio Aparicio Aparicio AA10 and i play professionally…
to answer your question well it depends where you live and is there any musical shop close to your home?
you can get a cheap guitar like the one i got first:
http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-Full-Nylon-String-Classical-Guitar/dp/B00004UE2D
it’s made for beginners and trust me it’s so much powerful.
you can find a second hand guitar too,but get one that is NOT broken or very very very old…
the first thing you need is the guitar itself… then you can search in youtube, there are thousands of teaching guitar videos that are very simple and you can watch and learn and play at the same time…
but don’t worry you don’t need the best teacher or guitar in the world to be able to play good
Bass guitar or electric guitar?
Hi, I have just started taking lessons of acoustic guitar last month. I got inspired to do this by listening to heavy metal. In the future I want to play in a band. I’m 14 years old. In september my parents promised me they are gonna buy me an electric guitar and amp. Now I’m wondering…What type of electric guitar should I buy? Bass or solo electric guitar? I like both options very much. Which one worths learning and playing more? Sorry for my bad English, this is not my main language…
Well I think you should get both eventually but for right now get a normal electric guitar. If you know how to play guitar you pretty much know bass but knowing how to play bass isn’t really as helpful in playing normal guitar.
what is everthing you need to know on lessons for electric guitar?
i just got a guitar and i wanted to know whats is everything you need to know about a guitar…lessons and all
First of all, yo need a guitar pick id youplan to play the steel-string or electric guitar. Or, you just use your fingers for nylon-string classical guitar.
You need the insttument and that is a personal choice to you. You don;t need the top of the line either. Its how you play it that counts and how you make it sound. To really learn the guitar well, you have to love the instrument and it will become part of you.
Now for lessons, you need good posture and good left hand position with the palm always in parallel to the fingerboard. The right hand has to be able to alternate pick from the start which means that you need good co-ordination between both hands.
If you start off with a wrong technique, it will be very hard to break in the long run. The first lessons usually involve "Tuning the guitar" which is essential. The teacher has to teach you that because he or she won’t always be around if the guitar sounds out-of-tune and it needs tuning.
Here is a good site for any other questions.

how do you play guitar along with another one?
i just want to know how do you play together, parts and everything and make it sound good
Just have perfect timing, or have to different guitar parts that intertwine Def Leppard were masters at that, or one guitar play the part and the other play the same with but in a different Key or a higher octave. The possibilities with 2 guitars are endless.
