Who has the best electric bass guitar lesson video?
I play Death metal and am looking to improve my mad skills, but there does not seem to be a good video. Please include where I can get a copy.
i know alex webster ( cannibal corpse) did a series of lessons on their website, but i can reccomend some good listens if you want to hear some great death metal bassists, Sean Malone from Cynic, Roger Patterson from atheist, Tony Choy from cynic, atheist, and pestilence, Steve Harris from Iron maiden, Geddy Lee from Rush ( not death metal but very good), Steve Diggorgio from Death, Eric Langlois from cryptopsy, Billy Sheehan from Mr. Big/steve vai and his solo career ( also not metal, but definitely the best "rock" player out there , incredible),
and Martin Mendez from Opeth
honestly i don't know of any death metal videos for bass out there, I have looked for a video also, but just give the bands above some listens and it will broaden your horizons. So remember that listening to music is what matters, not watching the player, listening is what matters.
but look up videos by michael manring, billy sheehan, and any bass day videos for good videos that aren't in the metal genre
I could give you some ideas that I used to become a better metal player if you email me:

Death Metal? Oooohhh-kaaayyy.
Dude, what a blessing it'd be for some lucky bastard to get bass lessons from none other than Geddy Lee (Rush).
Trust me on this one, dude: If you find Lee has a instructional video out: it's worth every cent!!

I would go to a local music store and ask a staff member who plays bass professionally….check out a Billy Cobham CD "Stratus" Lee Sklar is a ridiculous bassist…..also, the bassist on most of the old Motown songs was the legendary James Jamerson….get some earphones and pick out his lines…..also jack Bruce of the Cream….I'm not saying this stuff is your fave music, these guys are killer with a lot of great ideas for YOUR style and tastes
