I need help. I lost my guitar lessons?

I love playing guitar. I took lessons from a great teacher. But i can’t afford it anymore. I feel pretty helpless without the lessons. I can’t seem to teach myself anything. But i love playing guitar. So are there any good ways to teach myself? I can play a lot of chords and a few solos and songs and stuff. But I can’t seem to function without my teacher.

So, any ideas on teaching myself? Books, websites, etc?

BTW when I first stopped getting lessons, it was VERY daunting and it can be hard to know where to go from there…it’s normal to feel like that. Just listen to a wide range of songs and when you hear something you want to play – learn it. Playing anything is possible as long as you practice enough. Practice is the key.

    I have recently done that.
    What you should do is practice songs, with tabs from Ultimate Guitar, but be careful they’re not always right,so you can work on your hearing to correct them. Also use the program called Guitar Pro for easier work with tabs, since it gives you MIDI previews running with the tabs.
    A good website I use it MyGuitarSolo. It gives scales, practice techniques and other helpful tips on all kinds of playing.
    And if any song’s tabs you find hard to understand use YouTube.
    Again it doesn’t mean the way they play it is correct, yet if it sounds close enough it’s alright. There are several very good players on there. Also many people teaching stuff such as sweep picking and pinch harmonics.Hope it helps.
