		<description>Not sure whether or not you&#039;ll be playing acoustic or electric, but Rock House (as mentioned by another poster) produces amazing DVDs that will teach you everything from the very basics (parts of the guitar and their functions, tuning, etc.) through everything you&#039;d learn from years of lessons.  There is a three-DVD set for acoustic players, as well as a three-DVD set for electric players and each set costs less than $40.  I&#039;d been playing guitar for more than 20 years when I decided to try the DVDs and can&#039;t believe how much I&#039;ve learned.  The same guy teaches on both sets and he&#039;s fantastic.  It&#039;s like having a private teacher who never loses patience, no matter how many times you go back to review something.  Here are links to the sets at Musician&#039;s Friend:
